History

  • Martin field is home for the Gonzaga men's and women's soccer teams. The field is adjacent to Lake Arthur and the Centennial Trail, which leads to the beautiful Spokane River. This field was designed and constructed in XXXX. There are two sets of bleachers and grassy areas on the east sidelines, enough room for a pleasurable amount of cheering fans.
  • Hamilton field is located across Cincinnati St., just east of the McCarthey Athletic Center. This field is primarily used for Gonzaga reserve soccer, varsity soccer practice, and can occasionally be reserved for outside team use. Please call 509.323.4213 for more information on usage.

Location & Directions

  • Martin Field is located on the west side of the Martin Centre.
  • Hamilton Field is located on the east side of the McCarthey Athletic Center, between Cincinnati St. and Hamilton St.

Seating & Tickets

  • Gonzaga does not currently charge admission for home soccer matches.
  • Seating is available along the east sidelines, behind the spectator lines, as well as in the east bleachers. These seats are filled on a first-come first serve basis.

Parking & Maps

  • There are Green and Red parking pass lots south of the Martin Centre
  • Visitors without a parking pass may park in one of the three visitor's parking spaces in the first row of the Green Lot.
  • There are five designated handicap parking spaces next to the visitor's parking.
  • After 5:30pm during the week, and all weekend, these lots are all considered visitor parking.

Disabled Guests Services

  • There is plenty of sideline space for wheelchair access.

Gates Open

  • There is no opening time for the soccer matches. Most fans show up thirty minutes before game time.

Guest Services

  • There is not a current Guest Services area for soccer matches, but Event Management staff or Event Administrators will be happy to answer any questions or help with any concerns before, during, and after the event. Questions may also be directed to the Athletic Department Office at 509.323.4202.

Prohibited Items

  • For the safety and security of all guests, certain items may not be brought into the McCarthey Athletic Center. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Artificial noise makers
    • Fireworks
    • Weapons
    • Alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs
    • Pets without a leash
    • Objects may not be thrown onto the field at any time
    • Players, coaches, officials, staff, and administrators only are allowed past the spectator line and behind the goals.
    • Bikes, cars, trucks, or any other man-made form of transportation is not allowed on the field at any time.

Miscellaneous

Membership Fee Policies

  • Dependants must be high school age or younger to be eligible for family membership.
  • Spouses are included in family membership.
  • The Rudolf Fitness Center is primarily for Gonzaga students, faculty, and staff. Children may use the pool and field house only during weekend hours. Only youth age 16 or older may use the cardiovascular and weight training equipment with accompaniment. Young children are not allowed to be left unattended.

Concesssions

  • There is a concessions booth located at the southeast end of the field, near the parking lots. Concessions open an hour before game time and offer various candies, pop, hotdogs, pretzels and of course hot chocolate and coffee.

Locker Rooms

  • There is one visiting team locker room located in the north hallway of the event level. Volleyball, men's and women's soccer, cross-country, golf, men's and women's coaches, and baseball locker rooms are also located in the north and south hallways. There are two official's locker rooms in the south hallway of the event level. All locker rooms have shower and restroom facilities.

Restrooms

  • Men's and women's restrooms are located in the west hallway of the event level, next to the concession stands.

Phones

  • There is a courtesy telephone located in the west hallway of the first floor of the event level. Please ask any event staff member for assistance. You must dial 9-first for a local call. No long distance calls may be made without a calling card.
